Set up payments for your store

Start accepting payments from your customers.

Before you can take orders, you need to set up payments. Payment processing on Minicart is handled by Stripe, our payments partner. You will complete a short onboarding to get approved.

US only for now. Payments on Minicart are currently available to stores based in the United States. We are working on expanding to more countries soon.

What you will need

Payment onboarding asks for the details needed to pay you out and to meet financial regulations:

  • Your legal name

  • Company information if you are not a sole proprietor

  • Your business address

  • A phone number

  • A bank account for payouts

  • A tax ID

  • Identity verification (a photo ID in most cases)

Fill it out once and you are set. Most stores are approved within minutes.

Payouts

Once approved, you get paid out to your bank on a regular schedule. The first payout can take a little longer while your account is verified. After that, payouts settle on your normal rolling schedule.

Penny takes it from here

Once payments are set up, Penny watches your payments and payouts. She flags anything unusual, like a failed payout or a dispute opened by a customer.
